"At first I don’t believe it. There is the moment of: Is it? Is it truly? Is this happening?"The doubt is so real. Sometimes, we can't be sure what a piece is meant to represent until it has had time to rest as a finished piece, rather than a work in progress

Yes, exactly… I might get a glimpse of what’s shaping, but I never fully know until that very last mark. Until it’s ready.

Thank you for sharing this! 🥰

The stillness after the finish is so real - it’s almost an immediate anxiety of the whole thing being a fluke 🫠

I think I’m finishing my first song tonight and the entire array of emotions is so real! 👽

That’s amazing! Huge congratulations on finishing your first song!

It’s such a powerful thing, to bring something into the world that didn’t exist before.

Let all the feelings be there. Honour this moment. It’s magic. ✨

Thank you! I really can’t get over the fact! I’ve been making music for 5 years but since I didn’t quite belong to myself for a long time I hadn’t seen any of my work finished. And this year I’m taking my agency back! 🌝

The deep intimacy with art. I really love how you look at your painting as living energy beings. Very powerful.

Thank you so much!

I think that sense of intimacy came before I even had words for it. Like the paintings knew they were more than objects long before I did. It’s such a tender part of how I connect with the work. I am so pleased you picked up on this 🥰
